Aaviri Kudumu Recipe/Steamed Urad Dal Pancake/Steamed Black Gram Pancake
Ingredients
- 1 cup Urad Dal
- enough Salt
Instructions
- Wash and soak urad dal for 3 hours, after that grind into a thick and fine paste, add enough salt and mix well. Now place a khadai on stove top with one cup water, put a small bowl at the bottom and place 2 inches height round plate on top of it. Then spread a wet cloth on it for batter. See given pics.
- Now add 1 cup of urad dal batter over the wet cloth and close it carefully with the remaining cloth. Turn on heat and allow it to cook with a lid for 12-15 mins.
- Once done remove from the heat and let it leave for 1 min. After that open the lid and sprinkle little water while removing the cloth. So, that it will be easy to separate from cloth. Now healthy recipe Aaviri kudumu is ready, serve hot with chutney or powder with fresh ghee.
