Ingredients
- 1 cup Papaya Pieces/Boppai Mukkalu
- 1/2 cup Suji/Semolina/Rava
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 11/2 cup Water
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
- few chopped Dry Fruits
Instructions
Wash peel papaya/boppai pandu and cut into small pieces, then blend them into smooth puree and keep aside. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan add chopped dry fruits and fry, once done transfer them to a plate and keep aside.
To the same pan add suji/semolina and stir-fry for a couple of mins until the raw smell goes away. Add in papaya paste and mix well and cook on low flame for a while, then add water and cook till soft.
Now add in elaichi powder, sugar and mix well, put the pan on low-medium heat and cook it till the sugar dissolves completely. Keep stirring continuously for about 5 mins till the halwa leaves the sides of the pan, then add remaining ghee and mix well. Now easy and tasty papaya sheera/boppai halwa is ready. Turn off the flame and transfer into serving bowls and serve with fried dry fruits.
