Ingredients
- 1 cup Thick Poha/Aval
- 1/2 cup grated Beetroot
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 2 sp Lemon Juice
- fistful Fried Peanuts
- Salt to taste
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- few Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil
Instructions
Wash well and soak poha for 2 mins, after that squeeze them and keep aside.
Heat oil in pan add popu ingredients and fry. Once done add red chillies, curry leaves, chopped onion, green chillies and fry for a while. Then add in turmeric powder and stir-fry until the onions are soft, stirring frequently.
Now add grated beetroot and stir, add little salt and cook with a lid on low flame, when it done add squeezed poha.
Add salt, fried peanuts and stir-cook for a couple of mins on low flame with a lid. Finally add lemon juice and mix everything well. Now beetroot poha upma is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
