Ingredients
- 4 no Bread Slices
- 2 sp Suji/Semolina/Bombai Rava
- 2 sp Rice Flour
- 1 pinch Cooking Soda
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 2 Green Chillies chopped finely
- 1 Inch Ginger chopped finely
- chopped Coriander Leaves
- chopped Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Curd/Yogurt
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
Instructions
Tear the bread slices into pieces, place them in a mixie jar and blend into powder, transfer to a mixing bowl.
Add the rest of ingredients to bread crumbs except the oil and mix very well.
Add enough water and mix thoroughly, now the punugulu batter is ready. Roll the bread mixture into small balls and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan for deep fry once hot, drop them one by one into the hot oil carefully. Fry them until they turn golden brown in color, then remove from the oil and place them onto a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Now spicy and tasty bread punugulu/bondalu are ready, serve hot with any chutney or sauce.
