Dosakaya Sorakaya Pulusu / Yellow Cucumber and Bottle Gourd Stew
Ingredients
- 1 small cup chopped Yellow Cucumber/Dosakaya Mukkalu
- 1 small cup chopped Bottle Gourd/Anapakaya Mukkalu
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- small marble size Tamarind
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 sp Rice Flour/Besan
- 2 sp Jaggery
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 pinch Hing
- 1 Red Chilli
- few Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Combine the chopped yellow cucumber, bottle gourd, onion, tomato, green chillies and tamarind in a bowl and pressure cook with 1 cup of water for 3 whistles. When done turn off the flame and allow it cool for a couple of mins. After that remove the lid and mix well. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves and stir.
- Then add in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, mashed cooked bottle gourd mixture and stir-cook it for 5 mins, Add salt, jaggery into it, take little water and mix rice flour well and add in cooked dosakaya mixture and mix well, let it cook for a couple of mins then turn off the flame. Now bottle gourd and cucumber stew is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve along with rice and dal.
