Green Beans Kootu with Kootu Powder / Beans Pepper Stew Recipe - Kootu Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Toor Dal
- 1/2 cup chopped Green Beans
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 2 sp Kootu Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 sp Chana Dal
- 1/4 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Red Chilli
- 1 pinch Hing
- chopped Coriander Leaves
- few Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Trim the ends and cut beans into 2 inches pieces, wash well toor dal, beans and pressure cook for 3 whistles, once done remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, when done add curry leaves, cooked beans dal mixture and mix well. Add 1 cup of water, salt, turmeric powder and cook for a couple of mins.
- Then add in 2 sp kootu powder and cook over low-medium heat for 2 mins, lastly add coriander leaves and mix well. Now spicy & tasty South Indian gravy curry green beans kootu is ready, turn off the heat and transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with rice or roti.
