Poha Payasam Recipe / Aval Payasam / Beaten Rice Kheer - Krishnashtami Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Beaten Rice/Poha
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
  • 2 sp Ghee
  • Few Dry Fruits

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan add chopped cashew, badam pieces and fry until light brown color and remove from the pan and keep aside.
  2. In the same pan fry poha till light brown in color then remove from the heat.
  3. Meanwhile, boil milk on medium heat, now add poha and stir well, let it cook for 8-10 mins on low flame.
  4. Keep stirring often, so that it does n't stick on bottom, now add sugar, elaichi powder and stir well, cook on low flame .
  5. Add fried cashew, badam pieces and simmer for 2 mins, after that turn the off the heat and transfer into a serving bowl.
  6. Now tasty tasty delicious atukula payasam/poha kheer is ready, serve warm or cool.
