Poha Payasam Recipe / Aval Payasam / Beaten Rice Kheer - Krishnashtami Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 cup Beaten Rice/Poha
- 1 cup Sugar
- 3 cups Milk
- 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
- 2 sp Ghee
- Few Dry Fruits
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan add chopped cashew, badam pieces and fry until light brown color and remove from the pan and keep aside.
- In the same pan fry poha till light brown in color then remove from the heat.
- Meanwhile, boil milk on medium heat, now add poha and stir well, let it cook for 8-10 mins on low flame.
- Keep stirring often, so that it does n't stick on bottom, now add sugar, elaichi powder and stir well, cook on low flame .
- Add fried cashew, badam pieces and simmer for 2 mins, after that turn the off the heat and transfer into a serving bowl.
- Now tasty tasty delicious atukula payasam/poha kheer is ready, serve warm or cool.
