Wash and soak kodo millet, moong dal for 10-15 mins, in the mean time peel and chop potato, carrot and chop beans. Heat oil+ghee in a pressure cooker add cumin seeds, hing, crushed black pepper and fry for a few secs, then add curry leaves, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger and fry for a while.
Add chopped vegetables, turmeric powder and stir-fry for one min. Then add soaked kodo millet+ moong dal and stir well. Now add salt and 3 cups of water.
Give a quick stir and close the lid, allow it to cook for 3 whistles. Once done turn off the flame and let the cooker cool. Once cooled open the lid and mix gently. Now kodo millet veg khichadi is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with coconut chutney.
