Ingredients

  • 1 cup Besan/Gram Flour/Senagapindi
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 sp Elaichi Powder
  • few chopped Dry Fruits

Instructions

in a mixing bowl place besan/senagapindi, 1 pinch of salt and mix well. Make a soft dough with enough water like puri dough, apply little ghee on besan dough and keep aside with cover for 10 mins.

After that knead again and divide into small lemon sized balls. Place the dough ball on a flat surface apply little oil and press into a medium sized puri, repeat with the remaining dough balls.

Deep fry them in the hot ghee+oil till they turn golden brown from both sides. Then break the fried puris with hand and grind them into a coarse powder. 

Transfer the ground powder into a mixing bowl and keep aside. In the mean time, boil sugar and water in a pan and make one string consistency, then add food color and mix well.

Now add ground puri powder, elaich powder, chopped dry fruits to the sugar syrup and mix well. Turn off the heat and let it leave for a couple of mins. Then add 2 sp ghee and mix with hand thoroughly and make laddus.

Now yummy and delicious sweet recipe besan puri laddu is ready to serve. Besan puri laddu is one of the traditional Indian sweet recipe.
