- 6 no Idlis
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 Green Chilli finely chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- enough Salt
- 2 sp chopped Coriander Leaves
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- few Curry leaves
- 2 sp Oil
Place idlis in a bowl and Crumbled them coarsely by hand and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry once done add chopped green chillies, curry leaves and fry for a while. Then add chopped onion, turmeric powder, little salt for onion and fry.
Saute the onions until translucent then add in crumbled idlis and mix everything well, cook for a minute with cover.
Finally add chopped fresh coriander leaves and mix well. Now idli upma/upma with leftover idlis are ready to serve, serve hot with chutney or without chutney .
