Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bansi Ravva/Godhuma Rava
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Green Chilles chopped
  • 21/2 cups Water
  • Salt to taste
For Popu :
 
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • few Curry leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, when done add chopped green chillies, curry leaves and fry.

 Add in chopped onions and stir-fry until the onions become translucent. 

Then pour water, enough salt and bring it to a boil. Once the water starts boiling pour the bansi ravva and mix well. Cover with a lid and cook on low flame until the water is absorbed, then turn off the flame. Let it leave for 2 mins with cover.

Now godhuma rava upma/bansi ravva upma is ready to serve, serve it with any pickle or chutney powder.
