Ingredients

  • 1 cup Thinly Sliced Onion
  • 4 sp Besan/Gram Flour
  • 2 sp Rice Flour
  • 1 Green Chilli finely chopped
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • chopped Mint Leaves
  • chopped Curry Leaves
  • Oil for deep fry
  • For Garnishing :
  • few Fried Curry Leaves

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add all above ingredients(except oil)and mix together, meantime heat oil in a kadai, when hot add 2 sp hot oil to onion besan mixture and mix well. If required add a little water to it and make it a thick batter, now onion pakoda batter is ready.

Then take small portion of the onion besan mixture and drop them in the hot oil & deep fry them on medium heat until golden brown in color then remove from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Repeat the same process with the remaining batter, in the same oil fry few curry leaves for garnishing. Now onion pakoda is ready, garnish with curry leaves and serve hot with tomato ketchup and a cup of coffee or tea.
