Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice Rava/Biyyam Rava/Rice Suji
- 1 cup chopped Vegetables (aloo,carrot,capsicum,beans)
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 sp finely chopped Ginger
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 21/2 cups Water
- enough Salt
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1 sp Urad Dal
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- few Curry Leaves
- 3 sp Oil
Instructions
Heat oil in a kadhai add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, chopped ginger, green chillies, onion and fry until tender.
Add chopped vegetables, turmeric powder, little salt (for veggies only) and stir, cook on a low flame until the veggies turn slightly soft.
Then pour water, enough salt and allow it to a boil. Once the water start to boiling pour rice rava and mix it well.
Continue to cook with a lid until all the water is absorbed and the rice rava cooks completely. Keep stirring in between. Now veg rice rava upma is ready to serve, serve with any pickle or chutney powder.
