Ingredients
- 1 cup Cooked Foxtail Millet/ Korra Annam
- 2 no Big Usirikayalu/Gooseberry
- 2 Green Chillies slit lengthwise
- 1/4 sp Turmeric Powder
- fistful Peanuts
- Salt to taste
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 2 Recd Chillies
- 1 pinch Hing
- few Curry Leaves
- 3 sp Oil
Instructions
Wash foxtail millet well and soak for 30 mins and then cook in rice cooker or pressure cooker with 2 cups of water. In the meantime wash usiri kayalu and pat dry with a clean cloth, then grate them with a coconut grater and keep aside.Heat oil in add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, chopped green chillies and stir- fry for 30 sec.Then add turmeric powder, grated amla (turumu) and mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for 1 min or till it becomes soft.Once done add cooked korra rice, enough salt and mix thoroughly, turn off the heat and let stand for 5 mins.
