Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice Flour
- 1 cup Water
- enough Salt
- 2 sp Ghee
Instructions
Take a bowl add rice flour, salt, 1 sp ghee and mix well. In the meantime bring 1 cup water to a boil in a bowl. Once it is boiling switch off the flame.
Pour the hot boiled water into the rice flour and stir it carefully with a spoon and keep aside for 5 mins, after that make a dough with hand. Now idiyappam dough is ready.
Fill the dough into the idiyappam press/sanna muruku press and close the lid, then press it onto the greased idli plates and steam cook for 8 -10 mins.
Once done turn off the heat and let it leave for 2 mins. Then open the lid and transfer to a plate. Now the healthy and popular South Indian breakfast recipe idiyappam is ready.
Serve them with sweet coconut milk.
