Spicy Menthi Karam Powder – How to make home made Menthi Karam Podi - Curry Powder

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chana Dal
  • 11/4 cup Urad Dal
  • 2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Methi Seeds/Fenugreek Seeds
  • 100 gr Dried Red Chillies
  • 1 small cup Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, when hot add above ingredients except red chillies and stir - fry for a couple of mins, then add red chillies and fry until they pop. Once done remove from the heat and allow it to cool. When cooled grind them into a coarse powder. Now spicy fenugreek seeds powder/menthi karam podi is ready. Basically this curry powder can be used in curries. You can store the curry powder in an airtight container.
