Ingredients
- 1 cup Kandi Pappu/Toor Dal
- 2 cups Rice
- 1/2 sp Methi Seeds
- 3 Red Chillies
- 4 Green Chillies
- 1 inch Ginger piece
- 1 sp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- Oil for dosa frying
Instructions
Wash and soak the toor dal, rice, methi seeds and red chillies in a bowl with enough water. Cover and keep aside for 2 hours.
Once done, add ginger, green chillies to it and grind them into paste adding enough water. Transfer to a mixing bowl and add salt, sugar and mix well. Add water (if required) to the batter and mix well.
Heat a tawa, once hot sprinkle little water on tawa and wipe with a kitchen cloth, then pour a ladle full of dosa batter in the centre and spread the batter with back of the ladle. Drizzle some oil around the edges and on top of the dosa.
Now toor dosa/kandi pappu dosa is ready, once done remove to a plate and serve hot with chutney or powder.
