- 1 small cup Rice Flour
- 2 sp Moong Dal
- 1 sp chopped Coriander Leaves
- 1 sp chopped Curry Leaves
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
- enough Warm Water
- 2 sp Oil for dough
- 5 sp Oil for rotti frying
Wash and soak moong dal for 15 mins and keep aside, after that drain them. In a mixing bowl add all above ingredients except water and mix together, then add enough warm water and make it a dough like chapathi dough.
Knead well and make into equal lime sized balls and keep aside. Grease a plastic sheet with little oil and place the dough ball on the sheet. Grease your fingers with oil and gently press the dough ball into a small puri.
Meanwhile, heat tawa over medium heat, add 1 sp oil on the tawa and coat the pan with oil, then place the pressed koyya roti on the hot tawa and cook both sides with oil.
once done remove to a plate from the hot tawa. Repeat with the remaining dough balls. Now healthy breakfast/snack recipe koyya rotte is ready to serve, serve it curd or chutney or plain.
