Ingredients
- 11/2 cup Thick Poha/Beaten Rice/Aval
- 2 Green Chillies
- 1 Onion
- 1/4 sp Turmeric Powder
- 2 sp Lemon Juice
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 2 sp Oil
- 1 pinch Hing
- few Curry Leaves
- chopped Coriander Leaves
Instructions
Wash, chop onion and green chillies into small pieces, wash fresh green peas and keep aside, wash and soak poha for 2 mins, then squeeze out extra water from it and set aside.
Heat oil in a kadai add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, green chillies and fry for a while, then add in chopped onion and stir.
Cook on medium heat until the onions are tender, then add green peas, turmeric powder and stir, sprinkle a very little water and cook with a cover.
Once the peas/matar are soft then add drained poha and mix well. Now add enough salt, lemon juice and mix it everything well. Let it cook for a min on low flame with cover.
Finally add chopped coriander leaves and mix well, turn off the flame and keep aside with cover. Now matar poha/Green Peas Poha is ready to serve.
