Ingredients
- 3 Tomatoes roughly chopped
- 6 or 7 Green Chillies
- 1 Onion roughly chopped
- small Marble size Tamarind
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 5 Garlic Cloves crushed
- enough Salt
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 2 Red Chillies crocked
- Curry Leaves
- 4 sp Oil
Instructions
In a mixie jar place green chillies, soaked tamarind, turmeric powder, enough salt and blend into a course paste.
Then add in chopped tomatoes and blend it again.
Finally add chopped onion and blend again.
Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, then add in curry leaves, crushed garlic and fry for a while. Then add ground chutney.
Mix well and cook for a couple of mins on low flame. Now tomato onion chutney is ready to serve. Serve it with rice and roti.
