Ingredients
- 1 cup soaked Alasandalu/Lobia/Cowpeas
- 1/4 cup Rice Flour
- 2 inches Ginger Piece
- 3 Green Chillies
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- Salt to taste
- 6 sp Oil for Dosa
Instructions
Wash and soak alasandalu/black eyed peas in water for 6-7 hours or overnight. Next day wash and drain them. Add ginger, green chillies to it and grind into paste adding enough water.
Transfer to a mixing bowl and add rice flour, salt, cumin seeds and mix well. If needed add more water and mix well like dosa batter.
Heat a tawa, once hot sprinkle little water on tawa and wipe with a kitchen cloth, then pour a ladle full of dosa batter in the centre and spread the batter with back of the ladle. Drizzle some oil around the edge and on top of the dosa and cook till light brown color, then flip and cook the other side for a few secs. Now Lobia Dosa/Alasandalu Dosa is ready, once done remove to a plate and serve hot with pickle or powder.
