Ingredients
- 1 cup Ragi Atta/Finger Millet Flour
- 2 sp Chana Dal
- 2 sp Moong Dal
- 2 sp Urad Dal
- 2 sp Toor Dal
- 6 Red Chillies
- 1 pinch Hing/Inguva
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- Salt to taste
- Oil for dosa frying
Instructions
Wash well and soak dals together for 2 hours along with red chillies and keep aside.
Once done grind them into a coarse paste by adding enough water.
Then add in ragi pindi/finger millet flour and blend it again, transfer to a mixing bowl.
Add cumin seeds, hing, enough salt, 1/4 cup of water and mix everything well. Now finger millet adai/ragi adai batter is ready, the batter should not need to be fermented.
Heat a griddle with little oil, when hot pour a ladle full of batter over the griddle and spread it carefully with back of the ladle. Now apply 1 sp oil around the edges of the dosa and cook with a lid, once it’s done, turn it to the other side, apply little oil and cook on low flame for a while.
Repeat the same with remaining batter, now South Indian healthy breakfast recipe ragi adai/finger millet adai is ready, serve hot with any chutney.
