- 2 cups chopped Snake Gourd Pieces/Potlakaya Mukkalu
- 2 sp Sesame Powder/Telaga Pindi
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- enough Salt
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- few Curry Leaves
- 3 sp Oil
Wash snake gourds well and trim the ends, these snake gourds are small variety. Chop them into small pieces.
Cook them on stove top with turmeric powder and enough salt. Once done drain them and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves and fry for a while. Then add cooked snake gourd pieces and fry on a low to medium flame for 2-3 mins or till all the moisture is evaporates.
Now add in 2 sp telagapindi/sesame powder and red chilli powder. Mix everything well and cook for a minute with cover, then turn off the flame and transfer to a serving bowl. Now snake gourd curry/potlakaya Telagapindi kura is ready, serve hot with rice or roti.
