Ingredients

  • 2 no Munakkayalu/Drumsticks
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped lengthwise
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1/4 cup Raw Mango Pieces
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • few Curry Leaves
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • 1 pinch Hing
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, green chillies, chopped onion and stir. Cook them until tender, then add chopped tomato and stir, continue to cook until soft, now add chopped drumsticks, turmeric powder, salt and stir-fry for a min.
  2. Then add 1/2 cup of water and cook with a cover on medium flame. Once the drumsticks are 3/4 cook add chopped raw mango pieces. Mix well and cook for a couple of mins or until done. Add a little water if required to cook. Lastly add red chilli powder, chopped coriander leaves and cook for a while. Now tasty tasty drumstick mango curry is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve, it goes well with rice.
