Kodo Millet Ven Pongal Recipe/Arikelu Pappu Pongali/Varagu Arisi Khichdi - Millet Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 cup Kodo Millet/Arikelu
- 1/2 cup Moong Dal
- 21/2 cups Water
- Salt to taste
- 1 sp crushed Black Pepper
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 pinch Hing
- 2 sp chopped Green Chillies
- 2 sp chopped Ginger
- 4 no Cashew Nuts
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Ghee
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Combine and wash the moong dal, millet and pressure cook with water and salt for 3 whistles. Once done remove from the flame and keep aside.
- Meanwhile, heat ghee nd oil in a small frying pan add cumin seeds, crushed black pepper and fry for 10 secs, then add the remaining ingredients to the pan and fry for a few secs. When done add it to cooked pongal and mix it well. Now healthy recipe kodo millet ven pongal is ready, serve hot with any pickle or powder.
