Veg Uttapam With Leftover Idli Batter/Uttapam Recipes–South Indian Breakfast Recipe

Ingredients

    For Uttapam :
  • 1 cup leftover Idli Batter
  • Oil for dosa frying
  • For Topping :
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato finely chopped
  • 2 sp grated Carrot
  • 2 green Chillies finely chopped
  • 2 sp chopped Coriander Leaves

Instructions

  1. Mix chopped veggies with little salt and keep aside. Place leftover idly batter in a bowl.
  2. Heat 1 sp oil in a non-stick pan, when the tawa is hot pour a ladleful of batter on it & spread slightly to make a small circle. Sprinkle 1 sp of oil around the edges and top of the uttapam. Spread the mixed veggies all over the uttapam and press it gently with spatula. Cover with a lid and cook till uttapam turns golden color, then flip and cook the other side for a few secs.
  3. Now veg uttapam with leftover idli batter is ready, serve hot with ginger chutney or any chutney.
