Sesame Poha Recipe / Til Poha / Beaten Rice with Spicy Sesame Powder
Ingredients
- 1 cup Thick Poha/Beaten Rice/Atukulu
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- few Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil
- Salt to taste
- 2 sp Sesame Seeds/Nuvvulu
- 1 sp Urad Dal
- 6 Red Chillies
- 1/2 sp Oil
For Powder :
Instructions
- Heat a pan and dry roast sesame seeds till they become light brown color, then remove from the pan to a plate, next add urad dal, red chillies and stir-fry with 1/2 sp of oil until done. Let them cool slightly then grind them into powder.
- In the mean time, place poha in a bowl, wash well and soak poha for 2 mins, then squeeze out the water and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, red chilli and fry, once done add curry leaves and stir, then add squeezed poha, enough salt, 2 sp ground powder and mix together until well combined. Cover and cook on low flame for a while, then turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl. Now quick and easy breakfast recipe til poha is ready to serve.
