Instant Rava Modak/Suji Modak Recipe–How to make Rava Modakam – Recipe for Ganesh Chaturthi
Ingredients
- 1 cup Suji/Semolina/Rava
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 4 Elaichi Pods
- 4 tbsp Ghee
Instructions
- Heat 1 sp ghee in a pan, once hot add suji/semolina to it and stir it continuously on medium heat till you get a nice aroma, then remove from the heat and set aside to cool. once cooled add it to a blender along with sugar and elaichi pods.
- Now blend into nice powder and transfer to a bowl and keep aside. Now heat the remaining ghee in a small frying pan on a low flame and add it suji + sugar mixture and mix well with a spoon.
- Once cooled, mix the suji/semolina mixture thoroughly with your hand. Grease little ghee to modak mould, take small portion of the suji + sugar mixture and insert into the mould and press it, then open the mould carefully and remove the modak on a plate, do the same process with the remaining suji+sugar mixture.
- Now mouth-watering dessert instant rava modak is ready. Served as naivedyam to Lord Ganesh during Vinayaka Chavithi festival.
