- 1 cup Maida/All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Badam Powder(MTR Badam Drink Mix)
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- 1 pinch Lemon Yellow Color(optional)
- 2 sp chopped Badam
- 2 sp chopped Badam for garnishing
Heat ghee in a pan, when hot add maida and mix well with ghee, stirring continuously on low heat till it gives good aroma and turns light brown in color. Apply little ghee to a plate and keep aside.
Now add mtr badam drink mix powder and mix very well, stir-fry for 30 secs then remove from the heat, add 1 pinch lemon yellow color and mix very well, keep aside.
In another pan combine sugar, water and bring to a boil, stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves completely. Continue to cook on low flame till it becomes one string consistency, then turn off the flame. Now add fried maida badam mixture and mix everything well without any lumps.
Add chopped badam and stir constantly until it becomes a soft dough. Then transfer to a greased plate and spread evenly. Sprinkle chopped badam on top and press them gently. Let it leave for some time and cut into desired pieces. Now mouth-watering, delicious Diwali recipe Badam Burfi is ready.
