Ingredients

  • 1 small cup Wheat Flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 sp Oil
  • enough Water
  • 2 sp Wheat Flour for dusting
  • 2 sp Ghee/Oil for frying
For Stuffing :
  • 1 no Raw Banana
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Amchur Powder
  • 1/2 sp Black Salt
  • 1/2 sp Garam Masala Powder
  • 2 sp chopped Coriander Leaves
  • enough Salt

Instructions

Prepare a soft dough with wheat flour, 1 sp oil, enough water and salt. Then keep aside with cover for 20 mins.

In the meantime, wash and cut raw banana into middle and pressure cook till soft, allow it cool completely.

Once cooled, remove the skin and grate it, place into a bowl then add in above stuffing ingredients and mix it well, now stuffing is ready.

Divide the dough into 2 equal balls, flatten one ball of the dough and place the stuffing in the center and carefully close it from all sides together.

Take the stuffed dough ball and apply little wheat flour on both sides and roll it gently into a round shaped chapati with a rolling pin.

Heat a flat pan, once hot put the paratha on it, apply 1 tb of ghee to the paratha and cook both sides well.

Once done remove from the pan to a plate, repeat with the remaining dough ball and filling, now Raw Banana Paratha/Aratikaya Paratha is ready, serve hot with fresh yogurt, pickle or curry.
