Ingredients

  • 1 small cup Raw Mango Pieces
  • 1 small cup Fresh Grated Coconut
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste

For Chutney Popu :

  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 pinch Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 8 Dry Red Chillies
  • 1 pinch Hing
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients except red chillies and fry, once done add red chillies and fry for a while then turn off the flame and allow it to cool.

Once cooled, blend fried popu ingredients along with salt and turmeric powder. Add chopped mango pieces and grind coarsely.

Then add grated coconut and blend it again.To this add a little water and blend into a thick and coarse paste. Now spicy and tasty mamidi kobbari pachadi/mango coconut chutney is ready. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve with steamed white rice.
