Foxtail Millet Lemon rice / Korra Biyyam Nimmakaya Pulihora - Millet Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Foxtail Millet/Korra Biyyam
- 2 Green Chillies slit length wise
- 2 sp Lemon Juice
- 1/4 sp Turmeric Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- fistful Peanuts
- 1 Red Chillie
- 1 pinch Hing
- chopped Coriander Leaves
- Curry Leaves
- 3 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash and soak foxtail millet for 10 mins and then cook in a pressure cooker or in a rice cooker with two cups of water. When done put the cooked millet rice in a mixing bowl and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillie, hing, peanuts and fry. Once done add chopped green chillies, curry leaves and stir-fry for a while. To this add turmeric powder and fry for 30 sec then pour fried popu over the cooked foxtail rice.
- Add salt, lemon juice and mix very well. Lastly add chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Now foxtail lemon rice is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
