Suji Halwa/Semolina Sheera/Bombay Rava Halwa - How to make Suji Halwa
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rava/Suji/Semolina
- 1 cup Sugar
- 21/2 cup Water
- 5 sp Ghee
- 1/4 sp Elaichi Powder
- few Cashew Nuts
Instructions
- Heat 1 sp ghee in a non-stick pan add cashew nuts and fry, once done remove from the pan and keep aside. pour 2 sp ghee in the same pan add semolina and saute on low flame till the raw smell goes away. Meantime, boil water in another bowl.
- Add hot water carefully, mix well and cook until soft, then add in sugar, elaichi powder, remaining ghee and mix well, keep stirring continuously on low-medium flame till the halwa leaves the sides of the pan, then add fried cashew nuts and mix well, now suji halwa/sheera is ready, turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with fried cashew nuts and serve hot or cool.
