Suji Halwa / Semolina Sheera / Bombay Rava Halwa - How to make Rava Halwa - Halwa Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rava/Suji/Semolina
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 21/2 cup Water
  • 5 sp Ghee
  • 1/4 sp Elaichi Powder
  • few Cashew Nuts

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 sp ghee in a non-stick pan add cashew nuts and fry, once done remove from the pan and keep aside. pour 2 sp ghee in the same pan add semolina and saute on low flame till the raw smell goes away. Meantime, boil water in another bowl.
  2. Add hot water carefully, mix well and cook until soft, then add in sugar, elaichi powder, remaining ghee and mix well, keep stirring continuously on low-medium flame till the halwa leaves the sides of the pan, then add fried cashew nuts and mix well, now suji halwa/sheera is ready, turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with fried cashew nuts and serve hot or cool.
