Drumstick Pulp Tomato Curry / Drumstick Pulp Tomato Ki Sabji

  • 3 no Drumsticks
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies┬áslit length wise
  • 1 Tomato finely chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil


  1. Wash, cut drumsticks into 3 or 4 inches pieces and boil them in water till soft, then allow it cool, once cooled use a spoon to scrape out the inside pulp carefully and keep aside. Don't throw out the leftover water and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, green chillies, chopped onion and stir. Cook them until tender, then add tomatoes and stir, continue to cook until soft, now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
  3. Then add drumstick pulp, salt and mix well, if needed add leftover water and allow it to cook for a couple of mins. Lastly add chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Now tasty tasty drumstick pulp curry is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve, it goes well with rice or roti.
