Drumstick Kadhi Recipe/ Munakkaya Majjiga Pulusu - Kadhi Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 no Drumstick/Munakkaya
- 1 cup Curd/Yogurt
- 2 Green Chillies slit lengthwise
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 sp Garam Masala Powder
- 11/2 sp Besan/Gram Flour
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli
- 1 pinch Hing
- chopped Coriander Leaves
- few Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash, peel drumstick and cut into small pieces and cook them with little salt until tender and keep aside.
- Combine the curd, besan, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt in a bowl and mix well.
- Add in 1 cup of water and blend well till smooth like thick butter milk and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add chopped green chillies, curry leaves and fry for 30 secs.
- Then pour the buttermilk mixture and cook on medium flame until the raw smell gone, stirring continuously.
- Then add cooked drumstick pieces, chopped coriander leaves, garam masala powder and mix well and simmer for 5 mins.
- When done turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl, now drumstick buttermilk stew is ready, serve hot with steamed rice and papad.
