Seema Vankaya Palu kura / Chayote Curry With Milk / Chow Chow Milk Curry - Gravy Curry
Ingredients
- 1 Bangalore Vankaya/Chow chow/seema vankaya
- 1 Tomato chopped finely
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 Green Chilli slit lengthwise
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- enough Salt
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Urad Dal
- 1/4 sp Chana Dal
- 1 Red Chilli
- 2 sp Oil
- few chopped Coriander Leaves
- few Curry Leaves

Instructions
- Wash, peel chow chow and cut into small pieces, heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry.
- Once done add curry leaves, green chillies, onion and stir-fry until the onion is transparent.
- Add finely chopped tomato and cook until it turns soft, then add chow chow pieces and mix well.
- Add milk and stir, cover and cook on medium heat for 5 mins until the pieces are tender, then add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and mix it well.
- Add little water if needed, cover and cook till the curry is completely done, add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Now chow chow milk curry is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice and roti.
