Sorakaya Chapathi/Bottle Gourd Flat Bread–how to make Louki ki roti
Ingredients
- 1 cup Wheat Flour
- 1/2 cup grated Bottle Gourd/Sorakaya Turumu
- 2 Green Chillies
- 1 inch Ginger Piece
- 2 sp chopped Coriander Leaves
- Salt to taste
- 6 sp Oil
Instructions
- Grind ginger, green chillies into a coarse paste and keep aside. Wash the bottle gourd/sorakaya well and peel off the skin, great it into medium sized strips and keep aside. In a mixing bowl add grated bottle gourd, wheat flour, ground ginger green chilli paste, salt, chopped coriander leaves, 2 sp oil and knead well to make a soft dough, cover and keep aside for 10 mins.
- After that divide the dough into 4 equal sized balls and keep aside. Take one dough ball and roll it into a chapati. Then fry it on a hot tawa with oil on both sides, make the same process with the remaining dough balls. Now bottle gourd/sorakaya chapthis are ready to serve. Serve with fresh yogurt and dal.
