Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Toor Dal
  • 1/4 cup Moong Dal
  • 1/4 cup Chana Dal
  • 1/4 cup Urad Dal
  • 2 Green Chillies finely chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • chopped Curry Leaves
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Salt to taste
  • For Garnish :
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • chopped Onion

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak all above the four dals in water for about 2 to 3 hours.
  2. After that drain water completely and grind them into a coarse paste.
  3. Add above all the ingredients (expect oil ) to ground paste and mix well.
  4. Shape the mixture into small vadas and drop them into the hot oil.
  5. Deep fry them until golden brown in color and remove from the pan.
  6. Place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. Garnish with chopped onion, coriander leaves and serve hot with chutney.
