Ingredients

  • 1 cup All purpose flour/Maida
  • little Salt
  • 4 sp Oil
  • For Stuffing :
  • 1 cup Bengal Gram/Chana Dal
  • 11/2 cup grated Jaggery
  • 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
  • 5 tbsp Ghee

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, salt, oil and make a soft dough with enough water and keep aside for 30 mins with cover.
  2. Wash and pressure cook chana dal until done, let it cool for a couple of mins, then grind into a paste along with jaggery and elaichi powder.
  3. Transfer it into a pan and cook until it becomes a thick consistency and remove from the heat and allow it to cool.
  4. Divide the dal mixture into lemon sized balls and flour dough also the same.
  5. Flatten the dough ball into a small size puri on a greased plastic paper, place the dal ball on the puri and cover the edges completely.
  6. Roll out the ball into a thin round with the help of a rolling pin or hand.
  7. Heat a griddle, when it hot cook poli on both sides adding little ghee.
  8. Now tasty tasty senga pappu bobbatlu are ready.
