Potlakaya Pesara Curry / Snake Gourd Moong Dal Porial
Ingredients
- 1 cup Snake Gourd Pieces
- 2 sp Moong Dal
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 2 sp grated Fresh Coconut
- 3 Garlic Cloves crushed(optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli
- 2 sp Oil
- Curry Leaves

Instructions
- Wash and soak moong dal for 10 mins and keep aside. Wash the snake gourd and slit into middle, then remove the seeds & chop into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add crushed garlic, curry leaves and fry for a few secs, then add chopped snake gourd pieces and stir. Sprinkle little water and cook with cover until half done.
- Then add soaked moong dal, turmeric powder and mix well, cover the pan and let it cook on medium flame for a couple of mins or until the moong dal is soft. Then add salt, coconut, red chilli powder and mix well, continue to cook for a while, after that turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl. Now snake gourd moong dal curry is ready to serve.
