Chikkuduginjalu Green Peas Masala Curry/Broad Bean Seeds Peas Gravy Curry

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked Chikkuduginjalu/Broad Bean Seeds
  • 1/2 cup fresh Peas/Green Peas
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 sp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 pinch Hing/Inguva
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 2-3 sp fresh Cream
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 sp Oil
  • For Paste :
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1 sp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 sp Ginger Garlic paste
  • few chopped Coriander Leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash and cook chikkuduginjalu with little salt and keep aside, grind together all the paste ingredients with little water into a smooth paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add hing, onion, green chillies and stir, fry for 1 min, then add chopped tomato & stir-fry another 2 mins till soft.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and stir well, add in ground paste and mix it well & cook for 1 min, then add green peas and 1/2 cup of water.
  4. Let it cook for couple of mins, now add cooked broad bean seeds and stir-cook it for 3-4 mins on medium flame.
  5. Lastly add garam masala, chopped coriander leaves, fresh cream and give it a good stir and cook for 1 min on low flame.
  6. Now chikkuduginjalu peas masala curry is ready, transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with fresh cream, chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati.
