Curry Leaves Onion Rice / Onion and Curry Leaves Rice / Karivepaku Ullipaya Sadam
Ingredients
- 1 cup Cooked Rice
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 Red Chillies
- 1 sp chopped Garlic
- 1 sp Lemon Juice (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 3 sp Oil
- 1/2 cup Curry Leaves
- fistful dry Coconut Pieces
- 5-6 Dry Red Chillies
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1/2" inch Cinnamon Stick
- 2 Cloves
- 1/2 sp Oil
For Curry Leaves Powder :
Instructions
- Heat 1/2 sp oil in a pan and add curry leaves powder ingredients except curry leaves and fry for a min, then add curry leaves and stir-fry till the leaves change its color then turn off the flame and keep aside to cool
- Once cooled grind them into a coarse powder, then transfer to a plate.
- Meanwhile, put the cooked rice in a mixing bowl and set aside, heat oil in a pan add curry leaves, chopped onion, garlic, red chillies and fry until the onions are tender.
- Add ground curry leaves powder and mix everything well, fry it a minute on low-medium flame.
- Then add cooked rice, salt to the pan and mix everything well until combined, and fry it high flame for a couple of mins then turn off the flame. Now curry leaves onion rice is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
