Kanda Palak Curry / Elephant Yam Spinach Sabji / Suran and Spincah Gravy Curry
Ingredients
- 1 cup Kanda Gadda Pieces/Yam Pieces/Suran
- 2 cups chopped Palakura/Spinach
- 2 Green Chillies slit lengthwise
- 1/4 sp Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 2 sp Tamarind Pulp
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Dry Red Chilli
- Curry Leaves
- 4 sp Oil

Instructions
- Combine yam pieces, chopped palakura and cook on stove top or pressure cooker.
- Let it cool for some time then remove the lid & mash the cooked yam mix.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add green chillies, curry leaves and stir.
- Add tamarind juice, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and stir well.
- Cook for couple mins on low flame, then add cooked yam mixture & mix very well.
- Let it cook for 2-3 mins and turn off the flame, kanda palak curry is ready to serve, serve with rice or roti.
