Sweet Corn Gravy Curry / Sweet Corn Kurma / Makai Ki Sabji - Gravy Curry

Ingredients

  • 1 small cup Sweet Corn
  • 1/2 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 sp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Green Chilli chopped
  • 2 sp Fresh Cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander Leaves
  • for Paste :
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 4 Cashew Nuts
  • 2 sp grated fresh Coconut

Instructions

  1. Wash and cook sweet corn with little salt, strain them and keep aside.
  2. Meanwhile, grind coconut, cashew nuts into a smooth paste with adding little water and remove from the jar. Grind green chillies, onion, tomatoes until smooth and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a sauce pan add cumin seeds, hing and fry, then add chopped green chilli, ginger garlic paste and stir for 30 secs.
  4. Add ground tomato paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and stir well, cook for a couple of mins, next add ground coconut paste and cook.
  5. Now add cooked sweet corn and mix well, then add in half cup of water, salt, coriander leaves, stir and cook for 1 min.
  6. Finely add cream, garam masala powder and mix it well, cover the pan and cook it for 2 mins on low flame, then turn off the flame.
  7. Now sweet corn gravy curry is ready, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, chapathi or dosa.
