Carrot Upma Recipe / Carrot Suji Upma - how to make Carrot Upma
Ingredients
- 1 cup Semolina / Suji / Bombai Rava
- 1 Carrot grated
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 2 sp chopped Ginger
- Salt to taste
- 3 cups Water
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 3 or 4 chopped Cashew Nuts
- Curry Leaves
- 3 sp Oil
- 1 sp Ghee

Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, chopped ginger, green chillies, cashew nuts and fry for 1 min.
- In this add grated carrot and fry them for a couple of mins, then add semolina and saute for 2 mins on low flame.
- Meanwhile, keep water for boiling in a another bowl, carefully add the boiling water to the roasted carrot- rava mixture and stir very well.
- Let it cook for 4 or 5 mins on low flame with cover, lastly add 1 sp of ghee to the cooked carrot upma and close the lid, turn off the flame and allow it to rest for another 2 mins.
- Now tasty- tasty carrot upma is ready, serve hot with any pickle or chutney powder.
