Sweet Kudumulu Recipe / Rice Flour Sweet Kudumulu–Vinayaka Chavithi Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 1 cup grated Jaggery
  • 2 sp fresh Coconut (grated)
  • 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 sp Ghee

Instructions

  1. Boil water and add jaggery into it and boil, once the jaggery dissolved, filter the syrup and remove the dust.
  2. Again boil the jaggery syrup and make it slightly thick, then remove from the flame, add coconut, rice flour, elaichi powder and mix it well.
  3. Cover and allow it to cool, grease you hand with little ghee and knead the dough well and make into small lime size balls and set aside.
  4. Take one dough ball and press it with your fist & set aside, repeat the same process with the rest of the dough balls.
  5. Then place them in a greased steel vessel, apply little ghee all over the kudumulu.
  6. Heat water in a big steel bowl and place the kudumula plate on it and cover with a lid and steam cook for 15 mins.
  7. Once done turn off the flame and garnish with fresh grated coconut and serve as naivedyam to Lord Ganesha.
