Goduma Ravva Sambar Bath/Sambar Bath with Cracked Wheat/Wheat Suji Sambar Bath

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Wheat Ravva
  • 1/4 cup Toor Dal
  • 2 inches Tamarind Flake
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 sp Sambar Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 pinch Inguva
  • 2 Red Chillies
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash goduma ravva, toor dal and pressure cook along with onion and green chillies.
  2. Allow it cool for some time and remove the bowl from the cooker and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves and stir.
  4. Add tamarind juice, salt, turmeric, red chilli, sambar powders and cook.
  5. Cook for a couple of mins, then add cooked wheat rava mixture and mix it well.
  6. Let it cook for 1 min and transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Now goduma ravva sambar bath is ready to serve, serve hot.
