Kandagadda Allam Pachimirchi Kura/Elephant Yam Curry with Ginger Green Chilli Paste

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Kanda Gadda / Yam Pieces
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 2 inches Ginger Piece
  • 3 Green Chillies
  • 1 inch Tamarind Flake
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 sp Chana Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Grind ginger, green chillies into a coarse paste and keep aside.
  2. Cook yam pieces along with salt, turmeric powder, tamarind flake and strain.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry then add curry leaves and stir.
  4. Add cooked yam pieces and stir, now add ground green chilli mixture and mix well.
  5. Let it cook for couple of mins and turn off the flame.
  6. Kanda gadda allam mirchi curry is ready to serve.
