Puri Recipe / Plain Poori Recipe - how to make Soft Puri

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Wheat Flour Godhuma Pindi
  • 2 sp Sooji/Bombay Rava
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for dough making

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl place wheat flour, sooji, enough salt and mix well.
  2. Then make a stiff dough with water and keep aside for 20 min with cover.
  3. Knead the dough well and make small balls out of the dough.
  4. Then roll each ball into a thin puri with little oil.
  5. Heat oil in a pan, when hot fry the raw puris on both sides until light brown.
  6. Take out and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. Now soft puris are ready to serve, serve with curry or chutney.
