Onion Gravy Curry For Pooris / Ullipaya Kura for Puris

Ingredients

  • 2 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Besan/Gram Flour
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 sp Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu:
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a khadai add popu ingredients and fry,
  2. Once done add red chillies, green chillies, curry leaves, onion pieces and fry a min.
  3. Add 2 cups water, turmeric powder, salt and stir well.
  4. In the mean time mix besan with 1/2 cup of water and keep aside
  5. Continue to cook on medium flame until the onions are completely cook.
  6. Then add in besan mix water and mix very well, let it cook on low flame for a couple of mins.
  7. When done transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Now onion gravy curry is ready to serve with puri.
